Hello there, I'm Martin Slater, an experienced, passionate and fun wedding photographer in West Yorkshire. A little about my background
I have an extensive background in photography. I have completed all types of photography, however, I have a specific flair in wedding photography, portraits & lifestyle and pet photography too. I suppose you could say that I enjoy the art of photography that shows love, compassion, connection, personality and family!
I've been photographing special occasions and family shoots for over ten years now. Snapping these joyful events are always an extremely fulfilling experience, and it's always an honour. For me, this is the best job in the world. I love nothing more than doing what I have a strong passion for.
I may be based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, I am available to travel elsewhere. And because of the freedom to travel I have been to many wedding venues and seen some beautiful locations. I'm able to travel to weddings in Yorkshire, Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield or further.
I've photographed at many venues in the North, West, South and East Riding of Yorkshire and beyond. Location is never a problem for me. At the end of the day, it' one of your most important aspects of the day, so don't worry about me when it comes to choosing your venue and location, I will still be able to attend!

My wedding photography approach
Your wedding day is all about you. When I work with a client I always ensure that my work fits with their needs. It's always an honour to be chosen as a photographer, so I ensure that I do the best work.
I try to keep the process simple for everyone involved. I begin by taking the time to explain the process to you by speaking with you beforehand. I'll be able to determine exactly what it is you need and want. On top of understanding your preferences, I just want to get to know you too!
My wedding photography style
My style is unobtrusive and natural. I always aim to provide a fun and friendly service whilst being focussed and professional. The fun part of my approach is ensuring I interact with your guests naturally to keep them at ease and ensure they're as natural as you guys are in front of the camera.
We can do all the photos you need. In my experience, the most natural images are some of the most beautiful, so we can do a mixture of natural wedding photography along with family shoots.
